2018 SKI-DOO SUMMIT DRIVELINE UPDATE

2018 SKI-DOO SUMMIT DRIVELINE UPDATE

BRP Press Release

March 23, 2017

As reminder and more definitive answer to what we discussed at the Snow Shoot Tech presentation about 2018 Summit and Freeride models regarding driveline updates, please see the list of changes below:

Changes for 2018;

• Finned fixed pDrive sheave
• Revised CVT Calibration
• New belt
• New gearing (Summit and Freeride)
• Revised PTO and MAG engine mount
• Better cooling in CVT compartment – New Clutch cover and improved flow

These changes result in belt temperatures dropping between 15 – 40 degrees C (27-72 degrees F)

While the majority of 2017 850 E-TEC owners have had no issues, we always strive for zero issues. So 2018 sleds will have the changes above to address concerns.
We are still looking into the issue for 2017 850 E-TEC owners.
