BoonDocker has revealed to Mountain Sledder that its popular Sidekick pump gas turbo kit is now fully developed, tested and available to owners of the MY2018 Arctic Cat Mountain Cat, Sno Pro and M models. The Arctic Cat turbo kit is designed to work with the manufacturer’s new C-TEC2 engine to produce improved power across the entire spectrum of engine speeds.
Historically, turbo induction upgrade kits have not achieved mainstream adoption for a number of reasons. 1) They were expensive and are difficult to install, 2) they demanded specialized knowledge to be able to tune and maintain, 3) they were unreliable and 4) they required expensive race and/or aviation fuel to run, which was prohibitive for many riders. …
If BoonDocker were a hockey team instead of a snowmobile aftermarket performance company, you’d think they are gearing up for a run at the Stanley Cup. The BoonDocker roster has been rounded out with the signing of a couple of snowmobile industry heavyweights this off-season.
Former Timbersled owner and industry heavyweight, Allen Mangum, has joined forces with snowmobile turbo performance company, BoonDocker. Mangum comes onboard as a fifty-percent partner in the company, and brings a wealth of product development and fabrication expertise to the table.
Ronnie was totally stoked to explore the possibilities with the Timbersled and the amount of freeriding terrain the snow covered backcountry has to offer. For me it was really fun to show Ronnie the new sport that has consumed me for the last few years and now he really knows why.
