Riding conditions have been amazing over the last week. Spring riding is certainly a roll of the dice as you never know what to expect although so far the alpine has been getting regular reloads of nice, cold snow.
Yup spring has arrived! We are losing snow pretty quickly in the valley now, but the alpine conditions around the coast are still killer. Freezing levels are rising but it’s been staying cool above 1600m the past couple of days and will continue to sit around that level.
Spring is certainly in the air in our neck of the woods and we are seeing some of the best spring riding conditions we have seen in years. With regular small reloads and cool alpine temperatures, the riding quality it still way up there and people are getting after it. Alpine snow is remaining cold and fresh with no mash potatoes above the 1800 meter mark.
March is the new December. We have had continuous storms move through, bringing a steady flow of resets to our alpine areas. It has been nothing short of amazing, even too deep at times… nah… just kidding.
Word on the street is that Monday Funday was the best riding conditions we’ve had so far this winter in the Golden area.
And conditions look to improve with even more snow headed our way throughout the end of the this week and into the weekend.
