Fullfangit Snowbike Music Video / Interview

You have to acknowledge the effort and creativity of the Aussie SnowBiker, aka Shannon Mason, who recently dropped his FullFangit music video. Yes, it seems like the western Canadian snowbike scene is dominated by wild Australians (Sam King, Matt Cox and Shannon pop up everywhere!).  In fact, it was a group text amongst these top tier guys that spurred the idea for the video. I buzzed Shannon for a quick couple of questions for this post, see the conversation below.

TG: Hey buddy, thanks for taking my call. So has fame changed you?

SM: Hahaha. Nah mate, stay humble. It’s all for fun. But I am excited to see where this video could go.

TG: So I gotta ask, where did ‘fullfangit’ come from?

SM: Well fangit is a term in Australia for going fast. It’s kinda like the Aussie version of pedal to the metal. I once had a buddy who was hitting a jump on his dirt bike and couldn’t quite get to the landing. He asked me ‘what am I doing wrong?’ And I was like, ‘You gotta full fangit, not half fangit. And that was it. It just kinda stuck after that and we’ve been saying it ever since.

TG: Where’d you get the idea for the rap?

SM: It started off as a joke. I was rap dissin a buddy in a group text conversation and I started to think I could write a song about snowbiking and of course fullfangit was the obvious choice.

TG: Did you write all that music?

SM: It actually turned into an intense project that involved professional musicians and a studio ect… A lot of good people helped out.

TG: What’s next?

SM: I got a couple of idea. Maybe a spin off of Fullyfangit, maybe some parodies to some other popular songs; all about snowbiking of course.
