Good sign or bad?

Well all know highways being closed in the winter is a sign of “EPIC” days ahead, but just to set the record straight, keep in mind if it is dangerous enough for the highways to close down, it’s dangerous enough to take extra caution in the backcountry.  With that being said, there is still a TON of safe riding opportunities out there, just be smart.  Stay off big slops!  Keep your highmarking for the stable days.  Go find some sweet treed slopes that are on low angles and boondock to your hearts content.  There will be stucks, there will be sweat, there tears, but it will be safe, and we’ll all go home at the end of the day.  Just because you can’t see what’s over you doesn’t mean there isn’t a danger.  IF you don’t know, don’t go.  Just because there is tracks doesn’t mean it’s safe.  These are all things that are drilled in our heads over and over, and now it’s time to practice what we preach.
NOW, go have fun, ride safe, and SRED DEEP DEEP POW!!
Don’t let the media scare you into not having fun, just think safe that’s all!
Yeehaaa, can’t wait!
