“Jacket Off” – Brett Turcotte Vid Edit 2024

In the spring of 2024 Brett Turcotte had a plan to test his freestyle abilities on a snow course crafted with a snowcat in the Whistler BC Backcountry. The result is a hard-hitting slednecks throwback edit that showcases a bunch of tricks in a beautiful setting.

Typically the spring snow in Whistler is perfect for building jumps because it glues together and sets up hard but in the spring of 2024 the snow did not respond typically. Conditions were unusually cold in 2024 and getting perfect jumps was a challenge. It was nice on shoot day to finally take the jackets off and watch the throw down. The shoot day was always interesting and it was amazing to watch Brett handle the pressure. A who’s who of Whistler sledding showed up for the show and also a bunch of gawkers. Most people showed up on sleds but some showed up in their own helicopter and ended up being apart of the show.
