Beacon Basin
For all of you who ride in Golden from time to time, we just installed a new beacon basin in Quartz Creek purchased by the Golden Snowmobile Club for all of you to use. It is a great venue to practice and learn how to use your gear properly. If you have not taken a course before, make sure you practice with someone who knows what they are doing to help give pointers.
Make it a game!
Have timed races with your buddies. If you haven’t used your beacon yet this year PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE!!!
A range test is also a great way to test your beacon making sure it hasn’t been damaged during summer storage.
Get out there! Practice! And be safe!
