Full Support for Brett Turcotte: The Road to X Games 2026

With snowmobiling officially returning to the Winter X Games Aspen 2026, the spotlight is once again on the athletes who helped build, push, and sustain the sport during its absence from the world’s biggest action sports stage. One of those athletes is Brett Turcotte, and a special fundraising raffle has been launched to help support his return to X Games competition.
This raffle is a collaborative community initiative led by Mountain Sledder Magazine and the BC Snowmobile Federation, with the goal of raising $20,000 to help fund Brett’s training, travel, and competition costs as he prepares for X Games, taking place January 23–25, 2026 at Buttermilk Mountain in Aspen, Colorado.

A Rider Raised in the Sport
Born and raised in the mountains of British Columbia, Brett Turcotte grew up immersed in snowmobiling from a young age. Riding sleds with family quickly turned into a lifelong passion, and by his early teens it was clear his talent set him apart. Brett earned his first professional sponsorship at just 13 years old, marking the beginning of a career defined by progression, discipline, and longevity.
Over the years, Brett has competed at the highest levels of snowmobiling, transitioning from snocross into freestyle and backcountry riding while maintaining the technical precision and competitive mindset that made him a standout early on. His career reflects not only natural ability, but years of commitment to pushing the limits of what’s possible on a snowmobile.

A Proven X Games Competitor
Brett Turcotte is an eight-time X Games medalist, earning podium finishes across multiple disciplines including snocross and snowmobile freestyle, with multiple gold medals to his name. After a major injury in 2017 that threatened to end his competitive career, Brett fought his way back to the top, continuing to represent Canada and inspire the next generation of riders.
As snowmobiling returns to X Games in 2026, supporting athletes like Brett, who helped pave the way, is more important than ever.
