JAPAN SLED MISSION 2016

As we finished up lunch the storm seemed to be trying to let up. I just wanted it to clear so I could see all that was around us. We found some more technical riding as the day progressed, but the highlight was the ride out. We came across some rice fields with perfect powder and little take offs for some air time. The sun poked through for the last 5 minutes of the ride but what a glorious day is was to sled in Japan!

I had a long journey to get back to Hakuba to meet up with my crew, so I said my goodbyes to my new Japanese sled friends and Junichi dropped me off at the bullet train. I reflected back on that day and was grateful to Junichi for lining up this whole mission. I just wish the weather was better (it made for hard camera work), but great riding!
