Red Bull Sledhammers Returns to Ski La Reserve on April 6

MONTRÉAL, QC (MARCH, 2019) — Following the success of the 2018 debut of Red Bull Sledhammers at Ski La Réserve, the event will return to the ski area on April 6, 2019. The now legendary event pits competitors against one another in a head-to-head format that sees racers snake their way 150 vertical metres up the mountain while navigating features that combine the best of hill climb and snowcross.

This year, the event features 64 riders in a sold-out amateur category and a select number of riders in the all-new pro category vying to be crowned champion of this one-of-a-kind race. Spectators will find names like Quebec’s Max Taillefer, winner of the 2018 race, in the pro category.

In keeping with the spirit of innovative course design set by the 2018 race, the 2019 course features a redesign from top to bottom that introduces more air time and more technical features. Competitors will notice the redesign out of the start gate as they pin it off the line into The Launch Pads, a 20-foot gap on to a raised platform followed by a 25-foot gap off. As with 2018, the course is designed and built by Quebec’s Today’s Park.

The event is free for spectators to experience the roar of head-to-head racing in this one-of-a-kind event. Racing action kicks off at 10am on competition day with the after party kicking off on site immediately after the event at 4:30 p.m.
