It seems that many of the companies out there today are still tayloring their product towards the super cold weather, high speed type riding that exists more east of the mountains. Companies like KLIM, HMK, and SLDNX to a certain extent have realized that layering is key to any outdoor, high energy output sports. Not only protecting yourself from the elements, but also yourself is key if you want to stay warm and dry. Wicking materials like GORETEX are so important when considering your next garment. Remember too, that GORETEX is the best know windproof, waterproof, and breathable material, but it is not the only one. There are several fabrics out there that are capable of all three of these elements, but GORE is definitely the most well know. Scott has a few GORETEX jackets and pant combos, and is not to be overlooked when shopping for your next suit. Great looking gear!
