What’s been up!
I was recently in Niagara Falls looking at 2010 gear. Some really cool looking gear! HMK has a few new suits that look cool, and even CKX has been stepping it up! RSI has a few new bars to add to their line up too, if you haven’t heard of these guys yet, you will soon. Young company that is quickly making a name for themselves!
Other then gear, we’ve been riding a bunch when it gets sunny, and like every spring, the conditions have been touchy. South facing slopes seem to be naturally cycling nicely, and of course there have been sled triggered incidents.
It’s a tough time of year especially if you are uneducated in the “avalanche world”. North facing slopes seem to be tighter, but with the temps, and our sporty snow pack, don’t get caught off guard!
If your into jumping, the lips are setting up well! GAME ON!!
If you live in British Columbia and haven’t heard yet, Chatter Creek will not be having a sled season this year… Tough for all of us to swallow, Chatter included, but Ministry of Forest (MOF) has closed the access road due to an instability at the infamous “Rock Cut”. Some people are angry, some think it’s Chatters fault, but when it comes down to it, we are all bummed cause Chatter is SICK, but there is simply nothing we, OR CHATTER, can do about it! It is just too unsafe.
I think I have a tear in my eye as I type.
So what next then. Trout Lake is a wicked spot! So is the glaciers in Pemberton! So we’ll be hitting up a few different zones and keeping you up on what were up to.
I’ll stop my ramble now, but we’re heading to Yamyfest this weekend in Revy, so if you’re up there come say hi!
Have a wicked spring ya’ll!!!! Yeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaa
