Sled overheating these days?

If you have never seen our scratcher tech tip from a few years ago, check out the link below.  Be kind, I know I had crazy hair back then… lol
Other then the obvious scratchers, there is also the ski scratchers (available at many local sled shops) and of course the simple bolt trick, also seen in our video (I’m a huge fan of these things).  The bolts have worked really well for me for many years, and I think could be a great, and cheap, investment for any of you in the future.  All I can say is be careful because it can obviously effect your steering.  This is an old boys trick I’ve seen done many times!
Another not so obvious trick is to pile snow on your coolant tray every few kilometers.  This is second to none of course.  Many people overlook this simple trick cause they are in a rush, but for the few seconds it takes to do, it will probably save you time in the long run (not to mention damage).
Just pull off the trail, scoop up some snow with your arms, then simply drop that snow on the tray.  Done and done.  You’ll see it melt fast as those things get cookin!
