Riding Tip: Sidehilling in Hard Snow

Sidehilling in firm snow can be difficult, but it’s often a crucial maneuver to get you where you need to be and to stay out of trouble.

Although sidehilling through fresh powder doesn’t require a ton of skill, keeping your sled on a line while crossing a firm slope often does. But when the sun has baked the snow in spring, it’s a move that can come in very handy.
