Thunderstruck 15 Revelstoke Fundraiser
Tonight is the the night for the annual Thunderstruck Premiere and Fundraiser in Revelstoke, BC.
Taking place Friday December 2, 2016 at the Coast Hillcrest Resort in Revelstoke, the event features a plated dinner (sold out!), a premiere showing of Thunderstruck 15 and a fundraiser auction for local groups.
Thunderstruck 15 is the latest installment of the film series that is shot to a great degree in the backcountry of Revelstoke. Hometown riders will recognize much of the terrain featured in the film, and probably recognize a few faces from around town as well.
Each of the last few years the auction has brought in around $13,000 for local charities annually, and $55,000 has been donated to Avalanche Canada since the inaugural event. Charities that benefit are Avalanche Canada, Community Connection’s Christmas Food Hamper, Revelstoke Search and Rescue and the Revelstoke Snowmobile Club.
Admission to the event is free (after dinner), but please bring a non-perishable food for donation to the Food Hamper.
If you’re in the area you should definitely check out this great event. The dinner is sold out, but you can still show up at 8pm for the film and auction. The following day is the Grand Opening of Revelstoke Snowmobile Club’s new Greeting Centre, so make it a weekend of good old fashioned family snowmobiling fun!
