Yep, you guessed it! BRP will make the 850 E-TEC Turbo powerplant available in several 2021 models of Summit—and—Freeride! Of interest to riders who want the ultimate in factory deep snow performance will be the availability of the 850 E-TEC Turbo in the Summit X 175″.
Expert Package in Summit 175"
The Summit 175″ track configuration will also have the option of the Expert Package, making the 175″ the bigger winner for model year 2021. The benefits of the shorter tunnel and other Expert Package upgrades will also be available across the Summit lineup, including in Summit X and even in the Freeride model.
In addition to more widespread availability, the 2021 Expert Package has some improvements over the 2020 configuration as well. A new, even slimmer seat is a little over one 1 lb lighter that the previous 47c seat, and a new Expert Package hood, which draws benefit from similarities to the 850 E-TEC Turbo hood, is 6 lb lighter.
REV Gen4 Across Entire 2020 Ski-Doo Snowmobile Lineup
For model year 2021, Ski-Doo has announced that every single model will be built on the successful REV Gen4 platform—everything from the Expedition model with its wide track to Skandic and Tundra.
Brand New Rotax 600 EFI Engine
The 550 Fan engine has been replaced by a brand new Rotax 600 EFI engine. It is rated at 85 horsepower.
BRP Go App and Digital Display
BRP has produced a smartphone navigation app called BRP GO. It works as a standalone navigation app, even offline, or it will work with an optional digital navigation console that will be available in several of the dedicated trail and utility models.
With BRP Connect, a new, panoramic, full colour digital console will connect via Bluetooth or via hardwire to your smartphone and mirror your screen. Mapping that is available on your smartphone on certain apps will be available on the console, as well as access to music and calling via screen sharing technology.
The new console will also display all the standard information available in the past.
Renegade XRS rMotion X Redesign
To improve roll and handling when cornering, BPR has fully redesigned the rMotion suspension, called rMotion X. The rear suspension rMotion X gains 1″ of travel and is 5 lb lighter. The new RAS X front suspension has been redesigned as well to optimize the REV Gen4 chassis.
BRP has also designed two new skis, called Pilot X and Pilot TX. The keel is redesigned to eliminate darting and they have more surface area.
