2026 Ski Doo Expert 154″ E-Tec Turbo R : Test Ride

Is the the 2026 Ski-Doo Expert the ‘most predictable’ Ski-Doo ever? That’s the summary we arrive upon after our initial test ride of the machine in West Yellowstone Montana. We only had a half day on the machine and snow conditions were not ideal, but we were however, able to get the sled on edge and see what the new 32″ front end can do.

First thing you notice up close on the 2026 Expert is the sweet buckskin seat.

The most important upgrade on the 2026 Expert is the narrowed front end ski stance (from 34″-32″). How does the new 32″ stance perform? It is noticeably easier to get on edge. The sled rides in a very predictable way, especially through the trees.

The biggest question we had about the narrow ski stance was if it would cause the sled to ‘panel out’ on the steeps. Would the plastics actually cause the skis to loose traction because they stuck out further? We didn’t find any issues with that being the case. The sled stuck to the snow like you would want it to.

One thing that was interesting was how much easier the sled is to roll over when stuck. the 32″ front end seems to make it easier to flip over and the shorter tunnel means it gets hung up less.

The shortened tunnel on the 2026 Expert means less hang up in the snow.
