Ski-Doo Issues Safety Recall for Some MY2022 850 E-TEC, 850 E-TEC Turbo Sleds
A safety recall has been issued for some VIN-specific model year 2022 Ski-Doo snowmobiles with 850 E-TEC and 850 E-TEC Turbo engines.
The issue is an E-TEC fuel injector hose retainer screw that may loosen due to an inappropriate tightening on the assembly line and cause a fuel leak.
The safety hazard is fire that could potentially occur in the presence of an ignition source. In some situations, this could result in serious property damages, injuries or even death.
Note: This recall only affects snowmobiles equipped with an 850 E-TEC or 850 E-TEC Turbo engine.
Units Affected: 6200 in USA, 3900 in Canada
Safety Risk:
A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire.
Corrective Actions:
BRP will notify owners by mail with instructions to take their snowmobile to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, install a new fuel injector hose retainer screw.

What should owners of affected vehicles do?
- Contact immediately your authorized BRP Ski-Doo dealer and schedule an appointment to have the safety recall performed on your vehicle.
- BRP will repair your vehicle at no cost.
- The repair is to inspect and, if necessary, install new E-TEC fuel injector hose retainer screw.
- The repair should take less than 1 hour to perform.
- If you leased this vehicle:
- Send a copy of this letter to the lessee within ten working days after the day you received this letter.
- Do the same with any future letters about this safety recall.
Can I continue to ride my vehicle?
BRP recommends that you avoid using your vehicle until the safety recall is completed.
