Jonny Moseley’s Wildest Dreams: SNOWMOTO!
While Moseley clearly mastered skiing a long time ago, he is still in the limelight and currently working on his jack-of-all-trades status. He is a thrill-seeking, adventuresome soul with a long bucket list of outdoor activities that he aims to accomplish.

In partnership with Visit California, Moseley has developed a YouTube series called, “Jonny Moseley’s Wildest Dreams”. In these episodes, he calls upon professional athletes to help him cross off activities on his bucket list. The channel has 12 episodes to date, featuring Moseley learning how to slack line in the desert, whitewater paddle in the Salmon River and, recently, learning to snow bike in the Lost Sierra Mountains.
Moseley Teams Up With BC Snow Bike Athlete Josh Stack
Enter British Columbia action sports athlete, Josh Stack, who was approached by the production to teach Moseley how to ride a snow bike. Both are professional skiers and skilled backcountry navigators, and Stack and Moseley share a common love for winter and adrenaline. Stack grew up skiing in BC and eventually filmed with some of the biggest names in the ski industry.
Stack was stoked to be introduced to snow biking when it originated nearly 10 years ago. When interviewed for his first segment in a snow bike feature film, he acknowledged that he aims to incorporate his skiing background into his snow bike riding style, but would he be able to pass that knowledge onto Moseley?

It didn’t take much persuasion to spark Stack’s interest in showing Moseley how to ride a snow bike. So with sponsors Dragonfly, 509 and a local California dealer that provided three Timbersled snow bikes for the boys to ride all lined up, Stack was on his way to Lost Sierra, Plumas County, California.
Jonny Moseley’s Wildest Dreams: SNOWMOTO!
In the episode, Moseley, Stack and fellow action sports athlete, JT Holmes, meet in an unassuming field, where Stack goes over essential information about the bikes. Stack simplifies things by stating, “You take your normal dirt bike and slam this track kit on the back and this ski on the front and hit the throttle man!”
In the first riding tip of the episode, Stack offers basic advice such as, “Get in second gear and just pin it.” It’s a valid point—when in doubt, throttle out!

The best place to introduce a noobie to snow biking is in an open area with no obstacles. Stack starts things off in a field, to let Moseley gather his bearings and get a feel for how the bike handles. Staying upright can be challenging, especially while starting and stopping, but as Stack points out—once you get going and hold momentum, get it in second gear and PIN IT!

After a few laps, donuts and bails in the field, it appears Moseley is ready to take it to the next level. The boys are led through the trees to some steeper terrain. Stack takes this opportunity to show off, taking mini boots off natural features as Moseley takes credit, joking “Just like I showed him.”

As if Stack heard Moseley’s digs, he decides to kick it up another level and challenges Moseley to a big air contest. Without hesitation Moseley says he will participate—on one condition. Moseley sticks to what he knows and takes the booter on his skis, right beside Stack on his snow bike. But who sent it further? That’s up to the viewer to decide.
